LINKOR Rust Neutralizer

Characteristics:

LINKOR is a milky-white liquid product, consisting of a mixture based on a cationic epoxy adduct dispersion and special organic compounds that form insoluble iron rust complexes in a watery environment. Simultaneously, during the drying process, a paint coating is formed, which tightly seals off access to corrosive agents from the substrate. Depending on the degree of corrosion of the steel, the dried LINKOR coating exhibits varying levels of blackening. LINKOR is a rust converter and the first layer in corrosion protection technology. The rust neutralizer, thanks to the modified epoxy resins used, provides a strong protective layer and has very good penetration properties, simultaneously creating an ideal film that, after complete curing, shows good compatibility with most commercially available coating systems (before application, compatibility tests with topcoat paints are recommended) as well as 1K and 2K putties.

Intended Use:

It is intended for converting rust on steel structures, machinery, vehicles, and all steel and cast iron surfaces. Not suitable for underwater use.

Application Method:

Before starting painting work, the product should be thoroughly mixed, and the required amount should be transferred to a working container. Tools used should not be directly immersed in the original packaging, as even trace amounts of rust can initiate a reaction within the packaging. Do not pour any excess unused product back into the original container, and do not dip brushes into it. The surface to be painted should be dried, cleaned of loosely adhering rust and old peeling paint. Dust and grease can be removed with a cloth soaked in acetone. Application methods include brush, roller, pneumatic or hydrodynamic spraying. The minimum surface temperature during painting should not be lower than +10°C. If used outdoors, the coating should be protected from rain and dew. During drying, the product is susceptible to mechanical damage. If the temperature is below +20°C, the drying process may be prolonged. Full curing occurs after approximately 24 hours at a temperature of +20°C and in dry air. At +180°C, complete surface hardening occurs in a matter of minutes. It is recommended to apply two coats with a dry film thickness of 30÷40 μm. The next layer of LINKOR can be applied after 1 hour, water-based products after 8 hours, and solvent-based products should be applied after 24 hours. After completing the painting work, clean the tools with water, and dried product residues can be removed with a solvent.

NOTE: Before starting work with the product, be sure to familiarize yourself with the product's safety data sheet. Do not use thinners or products containing silicones.

Conditions During Painting Work:

Use the product in well-ventilated or ventilated areas. Use the product following safety rules, with particular attention to occupational health and safety and fire protection regulations outlined in the product's data sheet. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using the product. Conduct painting work at an ambient temperature of at least +10°C. The optimal air temperature during painting work is +20°C.

Storage:

Store the product in original containers in dry, well-ventilated areas, away from direct sunlight. The storage location should be well-ventilated and designated for storing hazardous substances. Store the product in a temperature range of +10°C to +25°C, in closed rooms that provide adequate protection, away from food, feed, food containers, and inaccessible to unauthorized persons. Do not expose to temperatures below 0°C.

Packaging:

Available in 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml, 1 l, 5 l containers, and other sizes as agreed upon with the customer.

Transport:

Transport LINKOR in original, tightly sealed containers. The product is not frost-resistant, so transport at temperatures above 0°C. The product is not classified as a hazardous material and is not subject to transport regulations according to RID/ADR.

Warranty Terms:

LINKOR Rust Neutralizer is covered by a 12-month warranty from the production date. The product eligible for replacement must have been stored, packed, and transported under the specified conditions, and any defects that prevent the product from being used as intended must have resulted from the manufacturing process and be due to the manufacturer's fault.
