Characteristics:
Single-component undercoat paint based on alkyd resins in organic solvents with the addition of pigments, auxiliary agents, and anti-corrosion additives, designed for professional applications. Available in various colors.
Product Properties:
KORCHEM PRO is compatible with coatings of many products. This product has good application properties and is intended for exterior and interior painting of steel structures, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and other surfaces. It creates coatings that dry at ambient temperature, adhere very well to the substrate, have good mechanical resistance (elasticity, flow, impact resistance), are resistant to salt mist, water, and atmospheric conditions, and possess excellent protective properties due to the inclusion of an active anti-corrosion pigment. The air-drying paint provides excellent anti-corrosion protection for painted steel elements. It can be used for painting using various application techniques: brush, roller, pneumatic or hydrodynamic spraying. It is also available for immersion and stream pouring.
Intended Use:
KORCHEM PRO paint is intended for use as an undercoat layer in two-coat systems to protect painted surfaces made of cast iron, steel, phosphatized steel, and colored metals. It can also be used on wooden and wood-like surfaces. KORCHEM PRO can be used in two-coat systems, where the finishing layer is made of alkyd, acrylic, chlorinated rubber, or polyvinyl paints. Together with the appropriate topcoat, it forms a coating system for anti-corrosion protection of steel elements and structures exposed to rural, urban, and industrial atmospheres. When used independently as a single-coat protection, it provides temporary protection to elements exposed to outdoor conditions, while acting as a primer for elements used indoors.
Application:
Before painting, thoroughly mix the paint to achieve a homogeneous consistency. Apply without dilution using a brush, roller, pneumatic or hydrodynamic spray. If better application properties are needed, dilute with a small amount of xylene-based solvent. The substrate should be dry and free from layers that could weaken the paint adhesion, especially dust, dirt, and grease. Old, well-adhering coatings should be degreased and sanded with sandpaper to improve paint adhesion. The recommended dry coating thickness is 30 ± 5 µm. It is recommended to apply 1 to 2 coats.
CAUTION: Before starting work with the product, familiarize yourself with the product's safety data sheet. This solvent-based, liquid product requires strict compliance with occupational safety and fire protection regulations during use.
