Purpose:
AQUACHEM - P primer is intended for the first coating of cast iron, steel, phosphated steel, non-ferrous metals, as well as wooden and wood-like surfaces. The coatings created can be used both outdoors and indoors. Along with AQUACHEM - N enamel, it forms a coating system for the anti-corrosive protection of steel elements and structures used in rural, urban, and industrial atmospheres. The paint is intended for application by brush, roller, pneumatic spray, and hydrodynamic spray. It is also available in a version for dipping and spray application. It is used as a protective primer. The product is water-dispersible, non-flammable, and designed for use in underground mining workings in non-metallic and methane fields, in workings classified as "a", "b", or "c" methane explosion hazard, and "A" or "B" coal dust explosion hazard zones. The product is safe for use in direct painting works in underground mining workings. The resulting coatings are non-flammable.
Characteristics:
A suspension of pigments and fillers in a water-based polymer dispersion with the addition of coalescents, auxiliaries, and active anti-corrosion pigments.
Product Properties:
AQUACHEM - P creates coatings that dry at room temperature, are very well bonded to the substrate, and have good mechanical strength (flexibility, formability, impact resistance) and anti-corrosive properties (resistance to salt mist, water, and weathering). It is a highly flexible coating with very good coverage parameters, including edges. It has excellent protective properties – it contains an active anti-corrosion pigment. The paint is eco-friendly and fully safe for the user and the environment, water-dilutable, with a mild odor. It is especially recommended for painting rooms in hospitals, nurseries, kindergartens, schools, and rooms with a high fire or explosion risk, where the use of paints based on organic solvents is not possible. The paint can be used in rooms with limited ventilation and airflow. The use of organic solvent-based thinners for dilution is strictly prohibited. Using an organic thinner will alter the product's physical properties, making it flammable, and it cannot be used for painting in underground mining workings.
