DEKORCHEM Wood Impregnant

Characteristics:
A suspension of pigments in an alkyd resin solution with organic solvents, containing dryers and fungicides. Dekorchem is available in a range of colors imitating various wood shades. The product is available in wood colors according to individual agreements with the customer.

Product Properties:
Dekorchem is a decorative wood treatment that also impregnates, providing excellent protection against biological and atmospheric factors, as well as the destructive effects of moisture, while giving the wood a decorative appearance. It creates coatings resistant to water and UV rays. The carefully selected composition of Dekorchem ensures it penetrates deeply into the wood pores and permanently protects it against blue stain, mold, fungi, and insects. Surfaces treated with the impregnating agent are evenly colored, enhancing the wood grain. The wood impregnant can be used for painting work with various application techniques – most often through soaking with a brush, roller, tampon, or by dipping or pneumatic spraying. Impregnated wood retains its natural color, while colored wood achieves the selected hue, preserving the visible wood structure.

Intended Use:
Dekorchem is intended for protecting raw wood against the harmful effects of biological factors such as fungi, mold, algae, and insects, as well as the destructive effects of moisture and atmospheric conditions. It is used for protective-decorative painting of outdoor wooden items such as garden furniture, gazebos, pergolas, summer houses, wooden cladding for buildings, fences, wooden doors, windows, and also inside rooms for roof beam structures and boards.

Application Instructions:
The product should be thoroughly mixed before starting painting work and during application. Dekorchem does not require dilution (for cleaning tools, use a solvent for phthalic products). Application methods include brush, roller, dipping, or pneumatic spraying. The wood surface should be raw, degreased, cleaned, and free of dust and dirt. The surface should be dried, cleaned, dusted off, and degreased using a solvent. The surface to be painted should be dry, clean, and free of grease. The minimum temperature of the painted surface should not be lower than +5 ºC and at least 3 ºC above the dew point. If painting is done indoors, ensure good ventilation. Painting should be carried out at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºC. The minimum temperature of the product is +10 ºC, and the maximum temperature is +30 ºC. The relative humidity during painting should not exceed 85%. It is recommended to apply 1 to 2 coats.

Note: Before starting work with the product, familiarize yourself with the safety data sheet. The product is solvent-based, flammable, and requires strict adherence to health and safety and fire protection regulations during use.
