CHLORCHEM Chlorinated Rubber Primer

Characteristics:

A suspension of pigments and fillers in a solution of alkyd and chlorinated rubber resin in organic solvents with the addition of a siccativator, anti-corrosion pigments, and auxiliary agents. The primer is available in a full range of colors. The product is available in any color according to individual agreements with the recipient.

Product Properties:

The chlorinated rubber primer has good application properties and can be used for various painting techniques - brush, roller, pneumatic or hydrodynamic spraying. The chlorinated rubber primer is resistant to wear and creates strong, durable coatings. The paint creates coatings characterized by very good adhesion to the substrate and primer and topcoat layers. The paint coating also exhibits resistance to water, variable weather conditions, and mechanical damage.

Intended Use:

The chlorinated rubber primer is intended for the protective protection of metal or cast iron equipment and structures, concrete, lime and cement plasters, paneling, and some plastics. It can be used for painting both indoors and outdoors, especially in residential, healthcare, educational, office, and other public utility premises. It is suitable for use in industry, excluding internal surfaces in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Application:

Before starting painting work, the paint should be thoroughly mixed and, if necessary, diluted with a diluent for chlorinated rubber products to achieve the required working viscosity, adapted to the selected application method. Application methods - brush, roller, pneumatic or hydrodynamic spraying. The paint should be applied to degreased surfaces free from dust and dirt. The surface designated for painting should be dried, cleaned of loosely adhering rust, old peeling paint, and dust, and degreased with a solvent. The minimum temperature of the painted surface should not be lower than +5°C and 3°C higher than the dew point. Painting should be carried out at a temperature of the painted substrate not exceeding 35°C. The maximum relative humidity of the air during painting work should not exceed 85%. The recommended minimum thickness of the created dry coating is 30 ÷ 35 µm. It is recommended to apply 1 to 2 coats.

NOTE: Before starting work with the product, familiarize yourself with the product data sheet. The product is solvent-based and flammable, and strict occupational safety and fire safety regulations must be followed during use.
